The Bathgate In Bloom Project

The Bathgate in Bloom Project was formed in 2005 and introduced the beautiful hanging basket displays we see at various locations in Bathgate town centre. The maintenance of the baskets is funded entirely from sponsorship donated by a number of companies and organisations in Bathgate and at the time of writing 40 of the 43 hanging basket stations are sponsored.

Now that the project has recently come under the wing of Enterprising Bathgate it is seeking funding from other sources, further developing partnerships and progressing a series of initiatives in other parts of the town centre. Bathgate in Bloom in association with its partners has recently completed the first stage of the Adopt a Station initiative. This project is part of the ‘Making Bathgate More Attractive’ project outlined in our first business plan. It is also responsible for the regeneration of a number of planted areas and gap sites in the town and its car parks.

In 2013 Enterprising Bathgate was awarded a Silver Medal by Scotland’s leading charity for the environment, Keep Scotland Beautiful, in recognition of its efforts to enhance the Business Improvement District.
